What a year it’s been…

insectivore reptile room turtle room garage conversion

I can’t believe it’s been almost 12 months since I last got the time to write an update on here. So much has changed! We now own a house, which has been a huge investment of time and money, and taken up so much of my life outside of work. It’s looking really good now though, and we’re finally making progress with all the work that needs done.

In regards to my zoo, our new house happened to come with a huge space (formerly a double garage) which I have poured hundreds of hours of work into, to convert it into a fully functioning turtle emporium. Building into the early hours of each day has paid off, and I now have an insulated, wired and fitted turtle room to enjoy. One website update isn’t enough to cover the work involved, and I have done my best to document the process through Instagram along the way, so a fully fledged article will hopefully transpire as I put it together.

My turtle collection has of course continued to grow, and thanks to this new room I have even more space than I know what to do with. I’m keeping close to 40 turtles now, and due to pick up even more shortly at the next Doncaster show (along with a few other suprises!).

I have so much to write about, and each bit deserves it’s own update, so for now I’ll finish this with a few instagram ‘highlights’.
